Video Conversion to DVD

Your video tapes are very important to you, and to us. All our work is done right here in Fort Collins. There is no risk of damage or loss due to shipping/mailing! Our digital video conversion process is "hands-on" and that extra attention results in a higher quality final product. We don't "put the tape in a machine and come back later when it's done". The tools are the same ones we use to produce the DVDs we sell commercially. Unless specifically directed by you, we like to place no more than 90 minutes of video per DVD. Some services will automatically put over two hours of video on a DVD, but the compromise is lowered quality!

Video tape sources supported (NTSC only): VHS, S-VHS, VHS-C, 8mm, Hi-8, Digital-8, Mini-DV (for other formats, if you can supply us a player with video-out capability we can use it for the conversion process). We do not convert any types of movie film, sorry.
High Definition: We can convert most HD file formats from camcorders that write to memory, mini-DVDs, or hard drives to Standard Definition DVDs. At this time we do not supply Blu-ray services.
No copywritten material will be processed unless you are the copyright owner or have the copyright owner's permission.

A full size DVD case printed with your title on the spine and on the front
DVD printed with your title (never put a label on a DVD!)

Narration

Do you already have video tape conversions of old home movie film? Would you like to add narration to these silent movies? We can come to your home and do professional quality stereo audio recording of you narrating your silent movies. We can then produce a DVD combining the audio and video, creating permanent memories for future generations.

Pictures from Video

Did you know that once your video is converted to a digital format, you can take frames from the video and turn them into digital pictures suitable for printing 4"x6"? Well, you can!

$9.95 set-up fee
- $4.95 per image (includes a 4"x6" photo-quality print and data on CD).

Digital Photograph DVD Slideshow

Your digital photographs can be turned into a slideshow that can be placed onto a DVD and played on a set-top player or on a computer. You specify how long each photograph is displayed, the ordering, and background music and we'll do the rest! As an added bonus, all your original digital image files will also be accessible via a computer on the DVD.

$20.00 set-up fee plus -
$.25 per photograph
$.35 per photograph with the "Ken Burns Effect" added (slow panning/zooming on the still images)
$4.95 (minimum) to add music
Scanning fee will be an additional charge.

Important information about all provided services and products:

We only provide services for NTSC format video. Unless you have tapes that you recorded with equipment purchased in Europe, then you probably have NTSC formatted video.

We will retain the digital versions of your project(s) for 30 days. This allows you to get additional copies or make changes at a lower cost for this period of time. We will immediately delete your information from our systems at your request.

Terms Of Service: When submitting videotapes, films, photographs, slides or any other media to Fort Collins Video, LLC whether for duplication, conversion, video transfer or for any other reason, the client/customer acknowledges and agrees that Fort Collins Video, LLC and any individual or business affiliated with Fort Collins Video, LLC shall not be liable for any loss or damage to such materials following receipt and during processing of such materials and that the client/customer?s sole remedy shall be replacement with a similar amount of blank media. Fort Collins Video, LLC makes no other warranty and assumes no other risk and shall not be liable for any indirect special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from client/customer?s use of our services. This agreement excludes specifically any counteroffers by the client/customer including (without limitation) statements of value in excess of replacement cost of a similar amount of media or requests for special handling. The client/customer warrants that the videotape, film, photographs, slides or other media submitted to Fort Collins Video, LLC for processing is not protected by a third party copyright owner or if protected, the client/customer has obtained permission of such third party copyright holder to utilize the material. The client/customer also agrees to protect and indemnify Fort Collins Video, LLC (or its assignees) from any costs related to copyright infringement. By using the services of Fort Collins Video, LLC, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms Of Service, which constitutes the entire agreement between you and Fort Collins Video, LLC, and governs your use of the services, superseding any prior agreements between you and Fort Collins Video, LLC.
